The following is one paragraph portioned for my response...
After doing some research, Comcast offers several remote controls. The type of remote you get depends on the device you’re using. Some Comcast remote controls are multi-device or universal remotes, while others only control the set-top box and TV. You can check for insert on your billing statement, by flyer, you can check web per for any remote code updates. We wait for the manufactures to provide us with new codes and once we have that information we also updated our customers. Instructions for programming your remote are included with the remote. You can also use our online tool or view and download a remote manual with includes instructions for programming the remote. My corresponding response...
My device is the red button select which was established many calls ago. I'm paperless. Please give me any example in my past billing statements of remote code updates. This is the most important thing you have said. As you no doubt saw when your reviewed this case on this website, Samsung has repeated told me this was a Comcast matter. I appreciate hearing from Comcast that they have misled me. I had suspected as much. This part of your paragraph is just foolishness. These instructions have been the topic of many discussions. You are simply repeating old ground. I have diligently tried all the online and printed help provided. I just can't get the code I need, and would rather not check the Comcast site daily comparing a list of old codes you want me to make to see if there is a new one. |
ShaRonda, you say, "If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to respond back to this e-mail and I would be happy to assist you." I do have two questions.
First, has Mr. Karinshak directed you as to the material contained in your reply?
Second, you say that Samsung will provide you with remote codes. Have they done so for their HT-F4500?
Thanks,
Dave
